Vatom Market Updates!

What’s new with The Vatom Market?
After 2 releases in late December, early January, we have much to report on:
Secondary Sales -
Re-selling your NFTs just became possible on the Vatom Market. Users can buy and resell NFTs on the market. This will allow creators to earn royalties on all secondary sales. Creators will be able to set their royalty commission percentage while creating their NFTs in Studio. Once the NFT has been purchased and gets re-sold, the creator will collect royalties on each resale of their creation going forward. This feature is going to encourage commerce on the marketplace and will allow for creators and sellers to both prosper.

Physical Items -
Now, sellers can include physical items as part of their initial NFT sale. Users will be able to view a photo of the physical item if the seller chooses to include it in the listing. At the time of checkout, the buyers will input their shipping address which will be communicated to the sellers in order to facilitate the shipping process. An email will go out to the seller as a reminder to send the product to the buyer. This feature will bring value to the platform by allowing the artist to include their physical art forms. This type of edition will be helpful to users who are apprehensive about entering the digital asset space.
Creators can upload the images by navigating to the listing of the item they are selling and uploading the image from the
Physical Items
tab. (As seen below)

Edition History -
As part of secondary sales, users will now be able to view all the related editions and the sale status of each of the editions for that item. In order for the Editions Tab to display on the item page, the NFT is required to have been previously owned and put back up for resale. This feature allows users to view track-related editions in the case they are interested in buying an available edition listed.

Provenance (Activity Tab) -
The French word provenance, means “coming from”, so in this case, a provenance is basically the supply chain of an item; or more roughly, its history. From the time an item is minted, a permanent track of ownership is given to this item on the blockchain. From the moment the item is minted and placed on the marketplace, users will be able to view the history and full transparency of the lifetime of the NFT. You can find the Provenance or
Activity
tab on the Item Page where you can track the history of the NFT.

Share Item -
From the NFT listing, you can now share an NFT listing to your friends via URL, to your Facebook, Twitter, or copy and paste the embed link where you choose.

For those users who love to window shop but aren’t sure what they want to buy yet, go ahead and favorite the NFTs that you like most. To do this, go to the NFT listing page and “heart” the item. To find those favorites, just navigate to your profile where you can view them by selecting the Favorites tab.
